FAQ’s

Asbestos fibres cannot usually be seen with the naked eye. Materials must be analysed in a laboratory to confirm whether asbestos is present.
Verum Group normally report on samples the same day they receive them from the lab.
Samples are examined by trained analysts using specialised microscopes to identify asbestos fibres.

A trained professional carefully collects a small piece of the suspected material using controlled methods to minimise fibre release. The sample is then sealed and sent our accredited laboratory for analysis.
Common materials that may contain asbestos include cement sheeting (fibrolite), roofing, insulation, vinyl flooring, textured coatings, pipe lagging, and older wall or ceiling panels, particularly in buildings constructed before the early 2000s.
Results are typically available within 1 working day, depending on the laboratory and the urgency of the analysis.
