Verum Group’s Project Geologist Cameron McCabe spent the last 2 weeks in Otago looking for gold.
Covering a large area in record time, Cameron has been sampling rock chips and soil guided by the rapid onsite analysis using portable XRF Olympus Vanta M Series (pXRF). With this state-of-the-art device, Cameron identified prospective areas for gold mineralisation. Among other elements, the pXRF measures the concentration of arsenic, an element that can be a pathfinder element for gold mineralisation.
